Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable RERA Legal Officer to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide legal guidance and support related to Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) regulations and compliance. The RERA Legal Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring our organization's adherence to all legal requirements, while also protecting the interests of our clients and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
1. Stay up-to-date with all relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines issued by the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA).
2. Conduct legal research on real estate laws, precedents, and case studies to provide accurate advice and opinions.
3. Review and analyze real estate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure compliance with RERA regulations.
4. Assist in drafting and reviewing various legal documents including lease agreements, purchase agreements, joint venture agreements, etc.
5. Advise internal teams on matters related to property registration, title verification, licensing requirements, and compliance obligations.
6. Collaborate with external legal counsel when necessary to handle complex legal issues or disputes.
7. Develop and implement internal policies and procedures that align with RERA regulations.
8. Conduct regular audits to identify any potential non-compliance issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
9. Provide training sessions or workshops for employees on RERA regulations and their implications.10. Represent the organization in interactions with RERA authorities or other regulatory bodies as required.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Law from an accredited institution (LLB).
2. A minimum of 1-3 years of experience practicing law with a focus on real estate or property law.
3. In-depth knowledge of Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) laws, rules, and regulations.
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal documents.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with internal stakeholders, clients, and regulatory authorities.
6. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong problem-solving abilities.
8. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
9. Membership in a recognized legal bar association is preferred.
