Position: Technical Officer - Property Valuation
Job Summary:
The Technical Officer - Property Valuation is responsible for providing technical expertise and support in the valuation of properties. This role involves conducting property inspections, analyzing market data, preparing valuation reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. The Technical Officer will work closely with the valuation team to provide accurate and reliable property valuations.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct property inspections to assess condition, features, and potential value.
2. Collect and analyze market data including sales transactions, rental rates, and market trends.
3. Utilize various valuation methods to determine property values.
4. Prepare detailed valuation reports that include property descriptions, analysis of comparable properties, and supporting documentation.
5. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
6. Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information for valuations.
7. Assist in resolving any issues or discrepancies related to property valuations.
8. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in property valuation.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Real Estate or Finance.
2. Proven experience in property valuation or real estate appraisal is preferred.
3. Strong knowledge of property valuation methods and techniques.
4. Proficient in using valuation software and tools.
5. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
6. Good understanding of local real estate markets and trends.
7. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
8. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
